The cap is 4-12 cm in diameter; in young mushrooms it is hemispherical in shape, then it opens and becomes convex, covered with mucus, in the central part is fibrous-scaly. The cap color is sulfur-yellow or chrome-yellow, with olive-brown or reddish-brown spots, or brown in the center, lighter to the edge, in some specimens with radiate-brown stripes radiating from the center.
Plates with a notch attached to the pedicle are yellow in young mushrooms, then acquire a greenish or orangish shade. The veil (cortina) is cobwebby, yellow or lemon yellow.
Pulp of lemon-yellow or sulfur-yellow color, with a bready smell or without it.
Leg 4–8 × 1–2 cm, in the lower part with pubescent bulbous thickening up to 3 cm, bright yellow.
Spores 9.5-11.5 × 5-6.5 microns, covered with warts, almond-shaped .
The brilliantly cobweb is deadly poisonous, probably contains the orellanin toxin, which has a strong nephrotoxic effect, also found in the most beautiful webbed and mountain web.
